Severe flooding and recommendations for landowners

During the severe rain in early May, Kezar witnessed historic water levels that flooded shorelines and sent hauled docks adrift. Some areas of the watershed received upwards of 5" inches of rain in 24 hours

Kezar Lake Watershed Association wants you to know that flooding is a matter of concern for human safety, property damage and for the quality of our waters long-term.

Whether you watch the action lake-side or not, ice-out is an exciting moment on the lake each year. Within mere hours, ducks, geese, and loons flock to the open water. The first rippling waves remind us that summer days swimming, paddling, and fly-fishing are just around the corner.

The process of ice-out looks different depending on where you are on the lake, and definitions vary.
